One Year Since A Dock in Barcelona

April 8th marked 365 days with my Max. Honestly, I can't believe it's only been one year, it feels much longer than that.

Before I die..

Candy Chang is a public installation artist, designer, urban planner. She recently turned the side of an abandoned building in New Orleans into a place where people can stop and reflect on what is important to them in life. This turned an old abandoned house into a beacon of hope for the future. The local response was wonderful and the wall took off on the first day. I love looking at the responses, some serious, some fun, but all are heart felt. See the rest of the pictures and the rest of Candy Chang's work here : CandyChang.com

Before I die..I want travel to all of the Nordic countries.

DIY Easter Garland

The Sweetest Occasion recently published this post on do-it-yourself paint chip Easter garland - so creative, so cute and so so easy to make. I love it! Find the full easy to follow tutorial on Modern Parents Messy Kids. I'm definitely not a parent, but I guess some might still consider me a messy kid.

TWIN SHADOW

Completely obsessed with this band. I have had their album for awhile, but never listened to it..BIG MISTAKE. It's amazing. Tyrant Destroyed and Forget are my favorite songs thus far. Listen and love..

This is all of it, this is everything I'm wanting to forget...

"As if it wasn't enough just to hear you speak
They had to give you lips like that
Like all of your sadness reduced to a color
Then painted upon
How could I forget you"
- Tyrant Destroyed

Cherry Blossom Festival

My friends and I went down to DC over the weekend to see the lovely Cherry Blossom Festival and to enjoy shopping in Georgetown. The weather was crazy - sunny one moment, hailing the next. But it was still so much fun. We also indulged in fabulous food - lunch at The Tombs in Georgetown, dinner at Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda and a lovely brunch this morning at my friend Callie's house complete with cherry blossom mimosas, yumm.
