Anantara Kihavah Villas

The Anantara Kihavah Villas opened earlier this year in the Maldives. Even before seeing these villas I had always pictured the Maldives as being as close to paradise as possible and now that this luxurious getaway actually exists I know that paradise truly has been found. These villas are a part of Anantara Resorts, and have been described as a sanctuary within a sanctuary. Maybe one day...

Missing Abroad

Ever since leaving Copenhagen a little over a year ago I've had the never ending feeling that I missed something. Missed a museum that I would have loved, a sandwich shop with amazing Smørrebrød, a bar with the trendiest black-clad Danes. I think most of my life has been filled with "what-ifs" and regrets of opportunities missed - a feeling that makes my stomach turn over itself. But, I need to move past this. So instead of sitting googling things in Denmark I should have done, I am going to focus on my favorite parts of going abroad, the things that make me so homesick for wonderful wonderful Copenhagen.

Peaceful snowy day's in King's Garden.

Cherry Blossom Festival

My friends and I went down to DC over the weekend to see the lovely Cherry Blossom Festival and to enjoy shopping in Georgetown. The weather was crazy - sunny one moment, hailing the next. But it was still so much fun. We also indulged in fabulous food - lunch at The Tombs in Georgetown, dinner at Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda and a lovely brunch this morning at my friend Callie's house complete with cherry blossom mimosas, yumm.

Italians

I have yet to get into Flickr. I don't quite understand the navigation process. But, I stumbled upon this set of photographs by Giancarlo Rado of simply Italians and I fell in love with each and every photograph. Click through here to check them out for yourself.

Enjoy!

Tree House Restaurant!

Okay So I was Googling tree houses because that's what I do with my free time apparently.. and I came across this tree house restaurant, The Redwoods, in Auckland, New Zealand. How AWESOME is it?! It was designed by Pacific Environments Architects and is almost 10 meters wide and over 12 meters high. The seating is split level and can seat 30 people seated or hold 50 people for standing room parties. I wonder if it would be reasonable to fly halfway around the world just for dinner?

Brown Betty Cupcakes

I stumbled across photographer Laura Novak's lovely photographs of Brown Betty cupcakes. I am completely obsessed with those cupcake stands! I have never seen cupcake stands before, I need them! Brown Betty is a family business located in Philly and after perusing the website I decided that I need to force Lauren to go there and give them a try, I don't think it will take much forcing. Two words: dessert boutique, brilliant.

check out Laura Novak's blog for more lovely photographs.
